What am I doing these days? If you care, read on…

Well, it seems I get asked this question a lot from both offline and online friends, so I thought I’d give you a quick run through my current goings on with the companies I have stakes in. If any interest you, then please feel free to click through or contact me.

People could learn a lot from this…

Last night I received this message from one of my friends who I went to college with in the USA about him trying to organise a trip to Australia next year. He explains about the pain of getting people out of their comfort zone and not leaving things too late in your life.

I think a lot can be learnt from what he says.

Oh Santorini, you got me good…

santorini

The official end to the summer has passed and the cold weather is already here, but after being back in the motherland for just over 2 weeks, I’ve finally come down from my Summer high and it’s time to summarise my time in Santorini, Greece.

Social Media: Putting it out there and then complaining when people look

Facebook and Twitter have become one of the rituals of my daily life and for the foreseeable future I can’t see this changing. However, have I really thought about the consequences of using these sites?

Top 10 = Failed Degree

The day everyone, and their dogs, have been waiting for came on Thursday 22nd April 2010 (time unknown due to being asleep). Eyes from around the world on one page. Boom, the top 10 applicants for the STA World Traveller Intern were announced, and guess what, I was there. The dull coloured photo taken only days before glaring back at me.

I can HONESTLY say, I didn’t expect to get through. So it was a nice surprise after a troublesome week.

Troublesome being, busy with uni work, which therefore disrupts my usual laidback social lifestyle :)

Guess where I am #1

10 Imaginary points and a virtual high five goes to the first person to guess where I am.

This is easyyyyyy

Read half way, get bored, press X

I must have typed around 10’000 words in the past 24 hours, my fingers hurt, and I just want to get off this laptop. But before that happens, I just wanted to say a few things;

98% of blogs I read are far too long and I am included in this, so from now on, unless incredibly bored/irritated about a subject, I will keep it short and sweet. Obviously Twitter is there for the people keeping it short and sweet (up to 140 characters in fact) but I am talking about resisting to write three A4 pages of complete jibberish.

On that note (I have no clue what ‘note’ that is and to be honest saying that makes no sense), here is a scene I love from Hot Rod because it reminds me of a few soppy friends I have. GET.A.ROOM.

Bucket List: 5 Numbers now need to be cut down to 1 – Voting needed

I must say, I was shocked by the overwhelming response the last few blog posts have received. The blog has had literally thousands of new visitors. So thank you.

So we have our final list of 151 wishes people want to do, and our aim is to help people achieve their wish, or get as close to it as possible. As stated before we will be focusing on one from the list at a time. So that 2000+ people will be able to help. This combined effort will make it easier to achieve our goal (hopefully).

So to make this fair, every time we complete a goal, we will pick 5 random numbers and you guys get to vote for the one you think we should focus on.

For this time, I used a number generator from the internet, and the proof of how I got the numbers can be seen in the video below;

The Bucket List: What’s next…?

We now have our list, and thank you to everyone for contributing. So the next step is deciding what to do with this list of things people want to do before they die. So I have devised a plan that we can help ONE PERSON at a time with our combined efforts. It is a Twitter experiment that we can all be involved in. I think if we all got together (all 2000 of you) and chose one of the things from my previous post, we could all help someone achieve their goal. A combined effort would make it so much easier than one person trying to do it. 2000 is better than 1.
